According to NPR, country music legend Dolly Parton revealed that she invested some of the royalties from Whitney Houston’s iconic cover of “I Will Always Love You” into an office complex in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Parton said she viewed the investment as a meaningful way to honor Houston, whose rendition helped turn the song into a worldwide hit. She explained that the area was primarily home to Black families and felt it was a fitting place for the investment because of Houston’s connection to the song.
