Joe Budden, the business mogul many call the “Pod Father,” created The Joe Budden Podcast and has recently pivoted into true crime, partnering with Elliot Wolf, son of Dick Wolf, to draw a new fan base. Dick Wolf, the legendary creator of the 35-year-old Law & Order franchise, is now entering the podcast business through his son. Joe has done a few Crime in America episodes so far, and it’s no surprise that Dick Wolf would also want to use Joe’s talents in television.

Wolf has always had a keen eye for raw acting talent, casting musicians and athletes from all backgrounds in his shows. Ice-T is the prime example: he’s been with Wolf since the days of New York Undercover, and in 2026 the two are still breaking bread on SVU.

So could Joe pivot to acting full time? He has appeared on Love & Hip Hop and other reality shows, but in his recent episode, which premiered October 29, 2026, he came across as a natural for Law & Order, playing a cool, collected character. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wolf sets him up with more roles, expanding an already diverse portfolio: mogul, producer, musician, CEO, and now actor.
