Healing from trauma comes in many forms.

Sometimes healing looks like therapy, deep conversations, and finally putting words to things you spent years trying not to remember. Sometimes it looks like setting boundaries, walking away, learning to say no, or realizing that protecting your peace is not selfish.

Sometimes healing looks like crying.

Sometimes it looks like anger.

Sometimes it looks like laughter after years of feeling like you forgot how to be happy.

And sometimes, healing looks like simply getting through the day.

We often imagine healing as a beautiful, predictable journey—hurt, understanding, acceptance, and then peace. But real healing rarely works that way. It isn’t a straight line from pain to recovery. It is complicated, personal, and often messy.

You can feel like you’ve made incredible progress one day and find yourself triggered by something you thought you had already worked through the next.

That doesn’t mean you are back at the beginning.

It means you are human.

There is no universal healing blueprint.

One person may need to talk about everything. Another may need silence before they can find the words.

There are moments in life when a person isn’t ready to heal yet.

They’re trying to survive.

Be kind to others and yourself.

Lead with compassion and grace.

And by all means, “Drop the bricks”.
