Research indicates that while a college degree remains a valuable asset, it does not close the racial employment or earnings gap, and Black professionals often face unique, systemic barriers in the job market that degrees alone do not resolve. Studies have shown that Black graduates are more likely to be unemployed than white counterparts with the same credentials and often face higher hurdles to getting their foot in the door.
